Maria Shriver may be re-thinking Arnold divorce

Is Maria Shriver ready to continue the long tradition of Kennedy women who've forgiven their husbands' extracurricular activities?

TMZ reports it just may be so, as the estranged wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger is re-thinking the idea of pulling the plug on her marriage to the actor and former California governor.

Shriver, TMZ says, is struggling with the decision to divorce because of her Catholic background.

The Catholic Church officially forbids divorce, though many members of the church, including some of Shriver's Catholic relatives, have ended their marriages with divorce.

TMZ also cites sources who tell the Website the one-time Governator is playing Charminator, trying to woo Shriver back to their marriage with gifts and being "extremely sweet" to her.

The couple separated in May, and Shriver filed for divorce July 1, after Schwarzenegger admitted to an affair with the family's housekeeper, Mildred Baena, which resulted in a son, Joseph.

Andre was born to Australian father Michael Andre and Russian mother Nikka Kalashnikova. As a baby, she often watched her parents, both artists themselves, work on canvases on the floor.She learned to paint before she could walk, several months prior to her first birthday.She and her family currently reside in Melbourne.

Andre's mother, believing her daughter to be a child prodigy, showed some of Andre's paintings to a Melbourne-based art curator when the girl was 22 months old. Impressed with the work, the curator agreed to include it in a group exhibition in the Brunswick Street Gallery, and he began advertising the show with Andre's paintings before he learned of her age. Although he was surprised, he kept his promise to display the work. The show opened shortly after her second birthday and also featured Kalashnikova's photography. Several months later, Andre and her parents visited Hong Kong, where she sold her most expensive painting to date for $24,000.

Art critics have noted Andre's work, classified as abstract expressionism, for its employment of the Surrealist techniques automatism and accidentalism.She paints with acrylics and often adds three-dimensional objects, including bark, twigs, and feathers, to the canvases. Buyers of her art at her New York show commented favourably on the paintings' simplicity and richness in texture. A number of major news sources, including Time, the BBC, The Washington Post, the The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC News, and the New York Post, have generally responded favourably to Andre's work and to her early success. 

Several of them have compared her to Jackson Pollock, Salvador Dalí, and Pablo Picasso. At least one other, The New York Times, acknowledged her widespread notoriety but commented that her paintings "are hardly novel from a formal vantage, nor do they provide added meaning below the surface." It also noted that although her 2009 exhibition in Melbourne was not at a vanity gallery, the Agora Gallery's pay-for-show operation may undermine the legitimacy of her recent international fame. Neil Patrick Harris, known fondly to his fans as Doogie Howser, has proclaimed to the world that he is gay. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Harris, 33, decided to officially set the record straight once and for all.

"Rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest," he told the magazine.

Just as they did with singer Lance Bass, gossip blogs across the net have been speculating for weeks, and now they finally have their answer. It really comes as no surprise to those of us who recognized the warning signs. I mean, the guy did do an amazing job dancing his fanny off in Cabaret. Isn't that all the proof anyone needs?.

Jennifer Lopez back for 11th season of 'American Idol'

J-Lo is back -- though maybe not for as long as Fox wanted her.

Fox announced Wednesday that Jennifer Lopez would return in January to the judges table for the 11th season of "American Idol," joining Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, who already re-upped. The news confirms what executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told Ryan Seacrest on Seacrest's radio show last week.

But the producers didn't get exactly what they sought. In lengthy talks with Lopez they were pushing for a multiyear contract, but the star would agree only to a one-year extension, according to a source familiar with the deal. Reports pegged her new salary at $20 million, a huge bump from $12 million this year. Tyler has another two seasons on his deal.

A Fox spokeswoman said the network wouldn't comment on contract specifics.

"Idol" may have had little choice. Ratings for the 10th season that wrapped in May were stronger than many expected, with many reviewers praising Lopez and Tyler for reinvigorating the show (on the other hand, some critics complained that they offered too much happy talk and too little substantive commentary). No word on whether J-Lo would rejoin Marc Anthony for another rump-shaking "Idol" live performance: The pair recently announced they're ending their marriage.

Interestingly, the release announcing the judging trio's return contained quotes from "Idol" creator Simon Fuller, executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz and Fox reality chief Mike Darnell, but not from Lythgoe.

Robbie Williams admits he still hasn't taken wife Ayda Field on honeymoon.

“Ayda still hasn’t got her ­honeymoon yet though.”

But Robbie, due to host ­bandmate Gary Barlow’s acts at his LA ­mansion in the judges’ houses section of this year’s X Factor, did reveal he’d managed to whisk his bride off to Paris for a few days before the European tour’s final show.

Robbie added: “I’ve just take Ayda to Paris for a few days. She loves Paris, she kinda grew up there. I love Paris too.”

He’s still unsure about his future with the band he left for 15 years before ­rejoining for this tour. But ­sources say there are definite plans for him to be a more permanent fixture after the success of the Progress album and live shows.

The insider reveals: “Robbie’s opened a door to Europe and they’ve been able to sell out huge venues. That’s not happened since the early days. So the boys are definitely going to see if they have another album.”
